ABOUT
Runge Eleven is a Porsche 911 Corrosion and Collision repair specialist located in Costa Mesa, CA. Runge Eleven is basically just one person, me, David. I have been working on cars since I was a little kid, Porsche 911s almost exclusively since I was around 14 years old.
The chassis of the 911 is the most scrutinized component of the vehicle when a pre-purchase inspection is performed. It is ultimately what decides whether a 911 is “good” or not. I chose to specialize in metal work because of this and because I enjoy the “art of the repair.” When I perform repairs I treat the cars as if they were my own and make sure every butt weld, plug weld and spot weld is the best that I can possibly do.
A crucial component of the overall repair process is the Celette Repair bench with dedicated 911 fixtures. The entire Celette system ensures a true chassis. If a chassis is tweaked from a collision, a dozer and pulling accessories can be used to correct it. I have a lot of experience and time pulling tweaked 911 chassis, I feel it is somewhat of an art and is done by feel while the fixtures ensure dimensional correctness. The Celette system also aids in the panel installation process. It ensures everything is held true and welded in the correct location dimensionally.
I prefer higher end no expense spared restorations, but I am open to all types of projects! A mentor once told me the client matters more than the car, so I am always looking for clients who appreciate the work and are happy to have someone working on their car.
